    Thinking of buying a New Holland. I like the fact it has a Fiat engine for reliability and economy. Am I correct in saying TS is the Ford family and TL is the Fiat family.

    Ts110 I guess? Bosch(I'm near certain anyways) leccy fuel pump on them as apposed to a mechanical on a 100, 4cyl turbo,

    More than likely be on 38" rims 90's were normally on 34"s

    The bottom bit of the grill on the bonnet that the catch is on tends to break away from the rest of the bonnet a bit.

    If it has 2spools they'll be worked of a joystick some had 4 with the extra 2 worked of levers behind the joystick,

    Grey engine/chassis ran till around 01, with black taking over in 02, some later ones had the rims with a solid ring around them rather than just a few blocks that the dishes bolt to.

    Make sure the joints on front axle are in good order, try get it jacked up if you can, prone to wear if not regularly greased, especially if it has a loader on.

    TL vrs TLA? I understand that the TLA has a Cummins engine is this as good?

    Spools are the connections at the back of the tractor that you connect hydraulic pipes to tip trailers and the like. You have 2 types. Normal and quick attach ones

    The tl/tla are equally as good, great torquey little engines and pull like hell. Our ts100 had been turned up a bit, and the neighbours tla90 could match it no problem at all,

    The tl would be a smaller tractor physically than the ts, but not by a whole lot, the cab is a bit lower, both inside and out, the heater drops down inside the frame on a tl, and does lead to hitting your head an odd time getting in and out of not careful!
    Does also mean you have to hug the steering wheel if your trying to work the loader at full height/putting up 4 bales, which it can do comfortably enough with the stoll/NH loader anyway.

    As for electric or manual lift there's no reall difference, they both do the same thing, the main advantage to electric lift is that they tend to have buttons on the mudguards to make it easier to hook up to stuff. The manual ts had no control outside for the lifts.
    The tla and tsa did have a control outside but it is rather fiddly to use and I've seen a few of them end up bent

    I suppose te biggest difference is that with electronic lift when you have the heights set its only a matter of pressing a button to raise or lower the lifts Id you were doing something like raking and lifting the arms a lot, rather than having to move a lever.

    I need a new Holland or MF for spreading slurry to pull a 1,300-1,600 gal tank and good PTO. I don't want a fuel guzzler. Thinking a110hp used and reliable tractor would be ok. Oh and I want the min amount of electronics, as I fear big bills fixing electronic bugs? Or am I old fashioned here?

    I can do 16hours on the slurry tanker with it- about 9 litres per hour

    If I use the ts115a it will only do 14hours or 13litrea per hour for the same work

    Can't fault that . A lot of lads don't seem to worry about diesel when they're buying tractors anymore

    Have tl100 cant complain about it, no matter what she asked to do she ll do it.mowing or anything she handles it and with a loader very handy around the yard

    Yeah would like like one aswell if finance permitted. Tl is a great little yoke very nimble around a yard and I deal stock man machine. TS is bigger and heavier so more suited to where you need a bit more ballast or if you are doing tillage or bigger tanker/trailer.

    I'd have either in here in a heart beat.

    Have a Ts 110 here, have used tl models in the past and theirs no comparison in terms of comfort plus on loader work the hydraulics on the ts are a lot better, in terms of reliability you won't beat the tl though pretty bomb proof tractor.....

    have a ts115 turbo here, id say they are one of the most nimble 6 cylinder tractors you can get

    well it always seems small and nimble when I step out of the bigger t6070

    watch for one that has done dump trailer work as there is nothing quicker to make a ****e of a tractor as its fierce hard on them esp the gearbox

    they are awful bouncy for road work aswell
