Wordpress blog - new posts go to top of page

Hi , I have just started a blog and noticed that new posts go to the top of the page instead of the bottom.Have trawled through the settings but cant seem to find anywhere to change it. Am I missing something obvious? Any help much appreciated

New posts will go to top of page on wordpress (so you don't have to scroll down for the latest news).
You can use plugins to change sorting, like https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-sort-posts/
