HI folks. As the title suggests im having problems getting my phone line installed by Eircom for my broadband. Over a month has gone by and after countless calls, missed appointments and frustration im at my wits end with them. Would appreciate if anyone could indicate to me if i am legally safe to cancel the contract with Eircom and sign up to somebody else? I realize that any new company would have to install a new line which would also take time but frankly i just dont want to give Eircom my money at this point. To clarify the line has not yet been installed so im wondering if the contract is as yet legally binding? Surely they cant take action if they are not as yet proving a service?
Any help regarding this would be very much appreciated.

    Kind regards
    James

You have 10 days from when the phone line works. Is the phone working?

Also, it'll be the same technicians who missed your appointment that'll do the install for any provider, so no real change.

Hi ED. The phone isn't working no. Its the phone line they have failed to show up for on numerous occasions. Its a bit depressing if all providers will use the same crowd, but i have found Eircoms customer service to be shockingly bad so I may decide to switch anyway now that you have said i'll have no problems. Thank you appreciate the reply
