Limit access at certain times : Sky Broadband

    Does anyone know if there is a way to limit access to the wifi broadband network on the sky router/sky hub?

    The kids have a few devices I'd rather be able to block after a certain time in the evening but still allow access to my phone/laptop etc.

    Ideally to do this by MAC address would be the way to go, I can't find any option like this on the sky hub, so is there a way to add this, or use another router?

    You could ask on the sky talk to forum. They may be able to help.

    http://192.168.0.1/sky_schedule.html

    in security under schedule you can block use by time of day day of week etc. but there's no option to specify a whitelist of "growed-up" access at all times as far as I can see.

    Yeah, so it'll block all access?

    Just in case anyone comes across this thread, what I have done is added the list of devices I do not want blocked to the access list

    Go to the sky hub page through your web browser (192.168.0.1)

    Enter username and password (Default User : admin - Password: sky)

    Wireless -> Setup access list

    In the 'Available Wireless Stations' section, highlight the device you do not want blocked and click add.

    Once complete all that needs to be done is whenever you want to block access for anything not on this approved list, log in as before, navigate to the 'Setup access list' page, and click 'Turn Access Control On', and click Apply.

    Sounds long winded but it's a 2 second job once you have the list of devices set up, I can do it from my phone, pity you can't automate the process.
