Delighted to see Paul voted coach of the year in The BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards. Well deserved.

Well deserved indeed! But surely the Ryder Cup team should then have gotten Team of the Year as well ? Either way, fantastic for paul. He put a huge amount of effort into that team

I think the team award went to the England women's rugby team, who won the World Cup. That's fair enough. Winning a World Cup is a greater achievement than beating one other team at golf.

I think the fact that McGinley got coach of the year ahead of the England women's rugby coach is a testament to what a fantastic job he is recognised as having done.

Well deserved by Paul. I have not read a single negative comment about his captaincy.
