Hey guys, sorry this might be a stupid question but If I buy these components, will they actually all fit together and work? Do I need a sound card or anything else?

Also, recommendations for other similarly priced but better/suitable components would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the general lack of knowledge!

Looks like a nice build to me. The board has gigabit ethernet and USB 3.0, so you don't need those two add-in cards towards the bottom.

Likewise, if you have a spare USB stick, you don't really need an optical driver any more either. (I haven't used one for a couple of years now). I have an external DVD burner I keep around if someone wants a CD of something burnt for some reason, but that's once in a blue moon.

Thanks, that's really helpful! Do I need to buy something else if I want to wifi access?

You could get TP link plugs. I've been thinking about building a PC myself and these seem to be recommended more than wifi cards.
