holiday and bank holiday rights

In my job we get 20 holidays per year regardless of how much over time we do. We get paid a flat rate regardless of overtime too (paid 10 per hour) and we work 45 to 47.5 hours per week.

Normally we all work on bank holidays and we get paid time + half.

I'm wondering when i book my holidays for the summer if one of my holidays happens to land on a bank holiday what happens? On my holiday form I'm taking 3 weeks And 1 day off. Do I put that down as 16 holiday days or 15 because of the BH? If I'm going to get paid for the BH regardless because its a BH do I not add it in?

You mean 22 days, 15 holidays? 3 weeks and 1 day I don't plan to be around. Yea?

If you normally work bank holidays you need to include it in your leave request, so it would be 16 working days you'd be requesting

calculate up how many shifts you would work and then request that time off.

Or else just put in a request from x to y date and have your work take off the correct amount of holiday days

I do shift work but last year my boss put me on the roster as 9 to 5 Mon to Friday and marked it red for holiday and left me blank over the weekend (as if I was off) so I got 7 days off.

So on my holiday form it shows

    date from:
    date to:
    amount of holidays:

    So I would do

    from 1st
    To 22nd
    Holidays: 15

    I think...

Ah screw it, it doesn't matter, cheers man
