Making new friends

    Hi all,
Recently I've realised that I've outgrown my mates, I feel like I've nothing in common with them anymore, specifically I'm talking about my two best mates who I've known since school, they're both 23 and I'm 22, so were all just young guys, but they've kind of settled down, they're both in long term relationships, and are in full time jobs. I'm basically the opposite of that.Im single, never really had a proper relationship, and I'm not working at the moment, also one of them has recently moved away to Dublin( I'm from louth) and doesn't really bother trying to keep in contact anymore. My only other mates are the ones I made in college, but they live all over the country and we only meet up now and again since college finished. So, basically I'm kinda stuck for people to go out with at the weekends etc etc, but I feel this could be an opportunity to start afresh and make a whole new group of friends, I feel like I've nothing in common with my two close mates anymore, and I don't really wanna be mates at all with one of them in particular, but I'm kinda trying to stay in touch with the guy at the moment, just because I wanna have someone to hang out with over the Christmas period, Stephens night, New Years, even though I don't want to. I'd just like some advice on how to go about making some new friends, btw way I'm quite shy with people I don't know and I'm not into sport. Any suggestions??
