Isn't this what Facebook is for? Other than that, what's the story here?

If you are so stupid as to be struggling on nearly €1/4M, then you are really not fit to run a university.

The things that we all call our necessary expenses will always grow to equal our income unless we protest to the contrary.- The richest man in Babylon.

The professor is simply living on a different planet.

Why is a two-year old story, written by she who shall not be mentioned, story even up for discussion?

I have no problem with that statement, it makes sense if you look at it unbiased and not like a begrudger.

I also have no problem with the president of a university having that salary.

If he had a mortgage of €1,000,000, he could well be struggling.

What's your point OP? If you read the article you'll see he talks about when he took his job in 2007, when his salary was presumably much higher, he took out a morgtage to match his salary and now he struggles to pay it back because he earns less now. Doesn't matter if he's on 232k or 20k, if he struggles to pay his morgtage, he struggles to pay his morgtage.

If he lives in a massive house he can downsize to a still perfectly decent house and pocket at least a few hundred K to ease his pain.
    Struggling? Fukk off!

Wish I had seen this post before falling for the clickbait.

Reminds me of P. Flynn telling the country how hard it was to own three houses and pay the servants when he was making a paltry £100,000 per year after tax

Thanks for that but After Hours is not a news dump. Contribute to threads you start.
