What might my problem be ?.

    Hi guys basically i am having major problems with my internet at home and shorting times in the day it basically just gives up and i can do notting with it. I am with Vodafone for internet.

    From the times of 12am to 2am, 12pm to 2pm, 5pm to 7pm and 9pm to about 10pm. This is what my Sam Knows router is telling me the main problems times are.

    It basically gives up from 12MB down to 1.5Mb and lower at the moment i have 0.3MB and 700 + ping.

    During the day dosint really matter but the 12am drops is what piss me off as thats when i play video games online and over the past week i have had countless problems playing games online in witch i keep on dropping on any console i might be playing on EG xbox one and PS4. I have had problems both on wireless and power line plugs.

    I had someone from Eircom out there on monday and said there is basically notting wrong with my line when there clearly is as i showed him my Sam Knows box reports he said that its not his problem that it drops at them times and to get back to vodafone to get them to fix them ?.

    Could the problem be that my line into my house might need to be changed ?.

    Contact Vodafone and ask for a line test. I'd suggest calling them during one of your problem times.

    It's up to visa phone to fix this problem for you as they are your provider. Before ringing them I would do some investigation yourself first. Over a 3 day span. Check the following

    Do a speed test three times a day at the same time and write down the results.

    Is this only happening when your online with the play station or xbox

    Does it happen each time. If not what is different. Is the xbox or play station modded in any way. What other devices are using the internet at the time. Are they hogging the bandwidth have they been virus/malware checked

    It's not the ps4 or xbox one as they work perfect on my other house witch has UPC and the laptop is the same laptop and there would be no slow down at all with everything on the network.

    What would be on the network at one time would be xbox one, my phone and mothers ipad. So 3 things should not be the problem.

    Sam knows does all my speed testing for me I have over 3 months of reports of the speed drops at them times but when eircom came out they said there was Notting wrong with the line and was blaming my laptop ......

    It happens when I am just on my mac as well and I can't load you tube videos at all.

    What makes it odder my line was able to get 15MB 3 years ago and now it's a good day if I get over 7mb and no one can tell me why my speed was dropped so much over the past few years.

    My problems with my internet started about 2 years when I seen my naighbour who used to work for eircom out poking at the lines for my cul de sac and since then I think he might have done something. As today I went and asked other people on my road about there speeds and I seem to be the only one getting problems at them times so there must be something major wrong with the wire going into my house
