    Who is Bressie?

Brendan, Brendan - give us a song! I don't think he did a Christmas song last year. It should be an annual tradition

Bressie will be in to talk about his incredibly honest and moving speech that went viral a few weeks ago ...

That's this one. There is a lot of general talk about 'awareness' of Mental Health but for me, this speech was brutally revealing about what some people are going through every day (even when they might appear to be functioning at a decent level). It is long but it is well worth a look. Credit to Niall Breslin for not holding back in this talk

I heard Bressie being interviewed by Marian Finucane last Saturday morning and I thought it was one of the best discussions I'd heard for ages about mental health. He spoke very honestly about his experiences with panic attacks and anxiety. I feel he offered some great insights as well as talking about his coping mechanisms.

A few years ago I suffered from bad panic attacks and PTSD after a car crash and I know how both conditions can seriously curtail your life if they're not treated. For me, Bressie made more sense than most of the professionals I've encountered. I'd highly recommend the following podcast.

    My1000HourBlog - Bressie
Niall Breslin - better known as Bressie - has started a blog - My1000hourBlog - about taking care of your mental health. .He says he wants to change the conversation and attitudes to mental health in Ireland

Have to give major kudos to Bressie for speaking so publicly. I suffer serious mental health issues so it's great more people are talking about it.

I like how he's showing that it can hit everyone even people like him who have a few quid, have a solid career and more than likely has women throwing themselves at him.

Rich or poor, pop star or shop assistant mental health issues can hit anyone.

Was Bressie not on this before talking about mental health? I remember being very impressed with him. Heard him on The Right Hook once. Seems like a really decent fella.

Oliver Callan, however...hope he's on at the same time as MOTD.

I'd love to see Oliver Callan doing an impersonation of Oliver Callan getting hit by a high speed train.

I understand the Government have commissioned medals for anyone who endured all of the Leinster game tonight :(

I can't stand him. His Michael D. Higgins impression is the only one that doesn't sound like Oliver Callan.

And let's face it, anyone can do a reasonable impression of Michael D.

    Good evening everybody.

This friar is very familiar to me from last year. He has a great singing voice as always.

He seemed to finish singing the song half way through the song. Still brilliant though.

    Is he a real monk?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,444 ✭✭✭✭Skid X

Is there anyone in religious life who doesn't have a record contract? :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,444 ✭✭✭✭Skid X

I wish he would say "I'm on a mission from God" so I could post some Blues Brothers youtube clips!

I always wanted to go on a days boozing session wearing a monks habit, pure comfort and a sense of respect from onlookers that you are sampling the Lords brew.

I often wonder if there is anyone in the boxing world who doesn't have a contract with God?

All the great boxers seem to be very religious people.

Apart from Tyson - But he was just a pup.
