Go to an auto factors, pic up a radio, aerial, and 2 speakers, and probably worth getting a set of ISO plugs so you can take in and out the radio easily if you ever need to again.

Then pull the roof off, it's only 4bolts around the outside edge holding the top on. Rip out all the original stuff then put in the new stuff, there's not a lot to it just make sure all your connections are good, and can't earth off anything.

12vlive to the yellow(fused) on the radio
12v from the key(fused aswell) to the red lead on the radio,
There will probably already be a 12v off the key going to the radio, permanent live might be a bit more of a problem, as older radios were analogue and didn't need it newer digital radios need it to keep radio stations tuned in.
And then a decent earth lead, there'll be one there on the existing radio.

Speakers are handy enough wired, just connect one side of speaker to a particular colour, then the other side to the wire that's the same colour but has a black stripe in it.

Also their seems to be a bit of rain coming in from the roof but I can't see where. If I take out all the bolts around does the rook just slip off or is their others things onto it.

It's about 10year since i took the roof of the ap cab ford we had but I think it was just the 4 bolts around the outside, possibly a bit of glue in around there to so may take a bit of force to lift. I don't rember there being any screw from the plastic bit that the heater, radio etc is in up o the roof, think it just sits on the cab frame.

I'd hazard a guess the leak is either a hinge rotted out on the sun roof, or else it's getting in around a rotten aerial base.

If it's a case that it's rotted out around the sun roof hinge clean it down best you can and cover it over with a few layers of fibreglass is kinda the easiest, welding wouldn't work out to well for the head lining...

Clean down/ remove as much rust as is possible and patch over it with fibreglass.
You can get "David's fibreglass kits" for bout €20 in halfords and you'll have a pile to much in it, it's simple enough to work with just take a bit of care and wear decent gloves, don't even bother with the crap yokes that come in the box.

The ideal would be to get a patch of steel welded in but that means pulling the headliner out and trying to glue it back in...

It was either suffer the bordem of silence turning hay or learn to fit radios in yokes when I was younger so i dived in at the deep end! Their not the most comicated yokes in the world really, more awkward trying to work in small spaces normally.

For connecting the best way to do it is solder the joints, but you'll get away with crimp terminals like these

Don't use these type yokes there rubbish to be honest, I despise them all they do is either end cut the wire or cause it to corrode and break...
