Ryanair: Can I add checked in baggage AFTER checkin

    sorry I used to know this - but the website is no longer clear

    I am traveling to Paris for a few days - no checked in baggage

    I want to check in online now for the return trip - so no panic trying to print the boarding pass in paris

    my question is - if i check in now for return flight - but make a purchase on antique markets etc, can i still add checked in baggage ( for a reasonable fee )

    AFAIK, yes, but they will charge you for it. Fees down the bottom of this page. Looks like 30 euro v 15 euro for the smallest bag (15kg).

    You can add checking in a bag to a booking (that you have already checked in for) up to 4 hrs before the flight departs. If you wait to do it later than that, you can't, you'll have to do it at the airport & the fee will be a good bit higher. What that fee is depends on the size, if you are traveling peak vs off peak etc. The fees should be listed in the link above. I do it all the time if I do a bit of shopping when I am away.
