Anyone into this form of training?

I was watching Frank Medrano and he shares some tips for beginners. I am going to start with this routine and see how I get on:

    5 x 10 Dips
    10 x 20 pushups
    10 x 10 pull-ups

Not starting with muscle-ups just yet, going to set on the foundations and build from there

I've never been massively convinced by those calisthenics guys all the swinging around the place and flips and twirls and stuff but some of them like frank medrano are pretty good, theres a few other really good ones aswell. Thats going to be one tough session though, how often are you going to do that a week?

I was going to incorporate it with my current plan and do it maybe twice a week, with 2 leg days (Heavy/Light) and 2 upper-body workouts, with one rest day

If you're new to getting in shape there's no way in hell you could do that workout. I don't think I could get through that and I'm in fairly decent shape.

I'm seriously surprised anyone considers that a beginner routine.

Fair play to you lad if that's your starting point you must be in pretty decent shape already.

I like your not starting with the musclu ups " just yet ". No ****, the majority will never do a proper muscle up.

I actually think those calisthenics guys are amazing, very strong core and functional movements. Great training for athletic performance. And if a lot of guys are honest with themselves they will tell you the reason they don't do bodyweight is because it's Damn hard, especially if your a big guy. Best of luck

I am in decent enough shape and have been training for a few years now. I took insirpration from Frank Medrano and being able to move your body in such a form, it's almost an art.

I was chatting with two guys in my gym the other day about it, one guy was doing a session of 200 muscle-ups, it took him about 2 hours, but still, 200 muscle-ups is some going!

I was messing about and can manage a sloppy 2 muscle-ups, hoping to build with my foundations first with the pullups, dips and push-ups, using resistance if needed
