A word of caution - if you consider buying from IWantThisDeal.ie

Beware of the people from IWantThisDeal.ie. We ordered a steam mop in August. It has not been delivered, pms have not been answered, posts on their Facebook site deleted and I have been blocked from posting comments directly on their Facebook site. The same happened to my wife today.

In my opinion: If you order something from them you might as well have burnt your hard earned euros.

This is also evident from a large number of posts on their Facebook site. You will want to read fast though - as their practice of deleting posts seems to be quite a standard approach to dealing with customer complaints..

I contacted consumerhelp.ie who told me I can seek to address this through sending a formal complaint to the company stating a timeframe for either delivering the goods or providing a refund. If they do not respond I can seek redress through seeking legal advise from a solicitor or through the 'Small Claims Court'. Going through Small Claims Court is subject to a 25 euro fixed charge but legal advise is not necessary.

Independent of the options which are open to me as a consumer the friendly lady at consumerhelp.ie said she would refer the matter to the Consumer Rights Enforcement Division of the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission for further investigation.

Have you a similar (or opposite) experience with IWantThisDeal.ie? Please let us know.

Better yet - if you are the owner/operator of IWantThisDeal.ie I would love to hear from you directly.
