I can't afford to spend more than 10-15 on foundation right now, looking for something light to medium coverage, smooth natural effect. Any opinions? Im naturally pale, usually the lightest shade going!

    Thanks

I love this one, its more medium-full coverage but you could a very very thin layer of it for a lighter coverage.

    Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hr Foundation

They also released a "nude" version of this, I've heard that it's meant to be a light-medium coverage, I haven't tried it myself though.

I would say to avoid the Rimmel stay matte foundation as its quite cakey and just not a nice a foundation, and I've tried it more than once, and its always the same IMO. The stay matte primer is great though, I love it.

The loreal eau de teint is really nice

+1 for the Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation. However I have the shade Ivory and it's pretty dark (for something called Ivory!), but a lot of the smaller stands don't stock the lightest shade (Light Porcelain) so you might have to look in one of the bigger Boots/chemists. It lasts quite nicely though without being overly matte.

The L'Oréal True Match foundation gets good reviews, it's quite lightweight AFAIK and has plenty of paler shades split into yellow, neutral and pink undertones http://www.boots.ie/en/LOreal-Paris-True-Match-Foundation_16049/

Bourjouis healthy mix serum and Rimmel lasting finish 24hrs NUDE foundation are both lovely I use them both and I'm quite pale. Medium coverage, the Bourjouis one would be a little lighter in coverage, both don't clog pores and wear nicely throughout the day.

Rimmel stay perfect is also quite nice as far as I remember. Those are the two brands I go with for budget foundation but there's really good choice out there these days!

The Bourjois healthy mix foundation is pretty good. I've quite pale skin and shade 51 was a close enough match ( a little too yellow toned). I've tried the L'oreal true match and HATED it! It was patchy and sinked into my pores. Don't know why it's got such great reviews.

If you're willing to go up as far as €18 I'd recommend Revlon Colorstay. It's medium coverage and it's lighter shades are pale enough to match Irish skin (unlike Rimmels "Ivory").

Another good one is the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation, its very lightweight, feels like silk when applied, it gives light to medium coverage and it lasts well throughout the day, although I personally needed to top up with powder after wearing it for around 4 hours.

It's very shiny though so once applied you need to powder it down because otherwise you will have a shiny face that looks greasy.

That's the only downside to it, I did really like it but the shininess is something that really puts me off using it again to be honest.

I picked up L'Oreal True Match today so I'm interested to see how that fairs out.

No.7 stay perfect is really good, medium coverage that is buildable. It's not exactly cheap for a "drugstore" brand though, it is about €20 I think.

I've tried Revlon colourstay and really didn't like it. It was thick and gloppy and just horrible. It felt very heavy and sticky once applied.

The Bourjois CC cream is good too http://www.boots.ie/en/Bourjois-123-Perfect-Colour-Correcting-cream_1450122/

My friend has used this one from C2000 and said its good, but lasting power isn't great http://www.boots.ie/en/Collection-Perfect-Finish-Foundation-discontinued-29-05-2014_1133013/

Catrice nude illusion is a nice foundation and they have some good pale shades. Only 8.50 too

L'Oreal True Match or L'Oreal Lumi Magique!

Lumi Maguque is €16.49 but there's always offers in Boots (3 for 2 etc) that you can end up getting it cheaper! They're more Medium to Heavy Coverage but you can go light with it and it lasts ages!

Rimmel's Lasting Finish 25hour foundation (the Nude formula - has a white lid not the red lid) would be a lighter coverage! And so cheap at under €9!

Best of luck with the hunt :)

Whichever foundation you decide to go with I would definitely say to buy in Boots as most brands have some kind of offer and many have free gifts worth 30-40 euro if you spend €20- you could update your whole make-up bag :)

I'd recommend the L'Oreal True Match also. The coverage is good, easy to get smooth, and lasts well without a primer. As someone who has pinky tones to my skin, I always find it hard to get a make up that doesn't look yellow on me, and the Rose Beige shade works really well for me. It also doesn't dry out my skin.
