Thinking of buying a baler for myself,
Can get a 02 krone 1500 with new chains for reasonable money
    Just wondering are
    A)they a good baler,
B)does the variable give more trouble than the fixed chamber..are they more for hay and straw than silage
C)If I wanted to sell it on after a few years would the variable chamber be less attractive/worth less than a fixed...say the 1250roundpack or welger

I'd only be doing max 500 bales a year

Also as a perspective buyer what would be the main pitfalls for a chains and slats baler like the krine 1500

    Thanks for any replies

Neighbour bought new comprima this spring. New type compared to the 1500 bit same principal
    Replaced a round pack 1250.
Super bales like rocks. Its a variable chamber but he only ever leaves it in fixed. Unless someone asks for straw in 5ft bales. Wouldn't be able to wrap 5ft bales of silage.
He has her on 135hp McCormick. 120hp would be minimum HP for them I'd imagine
Very silent baler wouldn't hear a thing compared to the 1250 he had

A neighbour of ours bought a comprima baler in 2010 brand new.. its a quiet baler but for some reason likes to throw out a broken bale every 50-60 bales.. we have a lely rp 220.. think there a smashing baler thats straight forward to operate and we use a 80hp tractor on it
