    Hi,
my heating system can be activated either upper floor or ground floor. when I have both floor on at the same time, my radiators seem not to heat at the bottom. Top of the radiator is warm.

If I turn on just one floor, the radiator heat up completely.
Thermostat at the wall is set to 25degree. Just to make sure. But if I turn on the heating for 1h I only get 21degree max.

What could be causing this behavior?
    Thanks

It's either a pump, piping, balancing or sludge issue I'd say

Weak pump, some have a speed setting, check that it's at max.
    Or
Valve on coil of cylinder might be open to much and takeing all the flow.
Post a picture of the side of the cylinder if you can.

    Hi,
let me check my luck.. :)
For some reason I can not attach pictures.. So I leave the links. If you copy paste the link it will display the picture...

I have done a bit more of testing. So my heating has 3 zones. Downstairs, Upstairs and Water, all can be heat independently. I noticed that by increasing the temperature in the boiler to max. 80degrees it would resolve the problem I initially posted. So now 2 zones warm up ok.

But if I turn on, one zone and the water OR both zones and the water... I have the same behavior. The rads. are not hot, only warm. I was told to use water separate to the heating.

I also noticed after 40min warming up water, some dripping on the back of the boiler.. on something called Tundish. I checked this name on my water cylinder manual (link below). Is this normal?

So I looked up on youtube on how to balance. I will try this on the weekend.
I also checked my pump. there is a knob but no reference to numbers.. so I do not know what it does.

Here is a picture of the cylinder. I hope it makes more sense to you than to me... :)

That pump is for boosting the water supply pressure, its nothing to do with the heating.

There should be another pump, usually near the heating boiler. Some pics of boiler could help also.

    Hi,
hope you had a good christmas season.

This is the only pump I can see. I would like to post some pictures but I do not have enough posts that allow me to insert pictures on my comments. the best I can do is send the links like I did in my previous post. For one to see the pictures just copy the text below and put it on your browser address bar.
