Hey I'm just wondering would it be really worth it to put a summary or personal profile on my cv?

Also, what should it say exactly?

Your CV has to be tailored to the type of job you're applying for.

Businessey-type roles probably love a little bit of blurb at the top about what kind of person you are and what your life goals are.

When I get a technical CV in, the summary I want to see at the top is bullet points of the hard and soft skills which you are best at. I don't want a wanky paragraph of bull**** telling me why I should hire you.

    That's probably no help.

No harm in having a (short!) summary if it's crisp and calls out your main attributes, as Seamus points out above. Are you also including a cover letter / application email? This also gives you a means to achieve this. Not sure exactly what you mean by 'personal profile', but if you mean something along the lines of 'I am a hardworking blah blah) then I would leave it out.
