My 80 year old mother was bullied into signing for a service she does not want by a pair of Electric  Ireland cold call sales people who arrived about 8 o clock at night in the pitch black of a winters night.

Firstly, how can she quickly, without spending hours on the phone, repeating her story to numerous people cancel this "agreement" without more distress?

Secondly, Can Electric Ireland stop sending these individuals to hassle a 80 year old pensioner living alone.

    Hello TheHappyChappy,

We're very sorry to read it. If you could private message us your mother's details, we will look into this and escalate to the relevant department. The details required would be: her name and address in full, and her meter point reference number (MPRN) and/or GPRN (gas). If the MPRN or GPRN are not to hand, confirmation of her telephone number would suffice.

    Regards,
    Una
