Just wondering if there are any medicine students here who could tell me about the course? Trying to fill out the CAO and don't know whether to put UCD, RCSI or NUIG as my first choice!!! Oh and I would also appreciate any advice on how to ace the hpat :)

To be honest UCD is better than NUIG.
Way better hospitals and more prestigious than NUIG. Outside of study there's infinitely more things to do in Dublin than Galway.

Only reason you might favour NUIG is if you're from Galway and don't want the hassle of living expenses in Dublin.

RCSI is full of rich international students and limited to medicine related courses, seems to have a boring student life. It would be my last choice.

Nothing wrong with NUIG, it holds it own with any university in this country. If anything, if you want to go to a place where you'd feel more at home in a predominately student city then Galway is the place you! Great city and an equally good university.

All the best with your application though, wherever it may take ya :)
