Dish Installation

Hi I currently have an 80cm Dish for hotbird.

I want to install another dish for Astra. I just mounted the bracket, and realised that once I install the new dish ( mesh dish) it might be on the way of the hot bird dish. ( they are few meters away)

I was wondering if that is a problem or the mesh will still let the signal through the other dish.....

    thanks

The hotbird Signal wont pass through the mesh of the Astra dish. If it's in the way you'll need to move it.

The purpose of a satellite dish is to reflect the signal back on to the LNB.
No signal will pass through it .
If it's a few metres away though you will be fine , as the signal will be coming in from above the dish .

Only the bracket there at the moment, but it looks like it might cover half of the host bird dish.

so there is no point to give it a go?

A few meters away? There should not be a problem. Just mount the second bracket a bit lower, Astra is, I think, at 28.2°east Hotbird is at 13east.
