Does anyone here ever buy how much is it say for a 1000ltr cube tank and how do u feed it straight on top of silage or watered down on top of silage , the reason I asked some of my silage is old grass and wouldn't be great quality and sometimes the heifers im fattening dont eat it all so I thought this might make it more palatable

Sold by the tonne. Much heavier than water so well over a tonne in an ibc. I've only fed it through a diet feeder but I wouldn't be watering it down. Hard to see how it wouldn't all end up on the floor tbh if it was put on top of the silage.

Would it flow out of an ibc ?

You need a 2'' or 3'' opening adapded into a pipe type outlet. However molasses was not compeditive last year and will not be this year. If finishing cattle do not eat all there silage either reduce there daily allowance or move excess daily to cattle that are on a more restricted diet such as cows or stores.

Perfect. Im using stuff here that I got 3 years ago for dry silage I made by mistake. hardly 4 inch left in tank but I got 3/4 of a tank. THink it was €180 a ton then

I bought an ibc tank of it in November.. it cost €180 because I brought in an empty ibc tank.. I just put it on top of the silage bale.. you want a good size of a pipe or else twill take forever to come out

I spray watered down molasses with a knapsack on the face of the clamp that I have a few cows eating from
Dunno if it makes any odds atal what i'm doing but its just a daily practise at this stage! I'd like to think it helps mop up any waste silage they might leave! I dilute it about half
Waste of time or not it does no harm anyway! Molasses helps their rumen stay active
