So I was doing some number crunching to see how much 2nd year at college would cost. I want to move up to the city but accomodation is just too much.

I could work like a madman from now until september but there is another option.

I heard about a guy who just lived in a tent on the university campus (he had permission). It sounds pretty miserable on cold wet winter nights but it beats endless pot-washing/ pint-pulling. Plus I would be very close to my lectures etc. I could get a top of the range tent and still save thousands.

Has anyone ever heard of this guy? Is it just an urban legend? Is it feasible?

I doubt you could do it with security on campuses.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
