Passat rear seats

Hi all. VW Passat - the rear seat on the passenger side will not fold down. The one on the drivers side is grand. When you pull the little handle (on the one that works) a little latch pops up and the seat folds down. But on the dodgy one it's as if it's locked. Any ideas? ?

Yep, OP your ignition key should open it

Yeah I've tried it with the lock turned both ways but still no movement!

Just Googled that. Yes its a B6. 2009 Passat saloon.

I take it that this is a common problem then? Do you know if it's an easy fix?
