run linux boot disk without using keyboard?

    HI all,
    migrating my dads pc from win xp to linux and I have a boot disk for linux. Problem is that his keyboard is bollixed. Is there a way i can get his PC to run the boot disc to start the install without it launching win xp without the use of a keyboard?
    trying to do this this evening so any help would be welcome.

    those wondering, I'm typing this trough my macbook

    Get a keyboard first ...... an install without a working keyboard is hardly going to be of any use .......

    .....even borrow a keyboard .....
