The Game Awards (Or Spike's VGA's) Tonight! (December 5th, 2014)

I hope next year if this goes ahead again:

Remove that fan crowd from the front.. put them somewhere else if you want but not there.

All awards should be presented on the main stage. The absolute worst of these offences was Nintendo. Just announces it next to Reggie and didn't even have a bloody award.

Cut the show down to 2 hours and make it 70% awards, 30% announcements. Last night felt like the opposite. There was one part where a sony rep was on stage showing a few trailers and pluging PSX. Surely they could have just given out an award and plugged their own event too. No need to do a small presentation.

Probably a few things I missing but that would help a lot.

No Man's Sky trailer put a bit of a cooler on how hyped I was for that game, the pop in was terrible.

Yeah it was pretty awful and then some. Way to much time spent advertising games that are already out imho. What the hell was with that muppet DJ on the right of the stage all night?

Only award I agreed with was the one Total Biscuit got.

Well that was a 2 hour long advertisement with plenty of cringe thrown in. Only a handful of cool things happened. New Witcher, cool. TB supporting a good cause, cool. Shovel Knights and indie doing this well, cool. I liked the bit about Sierra's origins, too. The rest was hot garbo, hosted by the dorito pope himself.
