Hey guys, bit of a vague question here but hoping someone can help. So I was a non-believer but in recent times I'm become more curious about Christianity. Reading here and elsewhere. Thinking a lot about it. At the stage where I kinda want to go to a christian event, like maybe just a gathering on Sunday or Alpha courses? What would you guys recommend, I'm a bit nervous about it all and unsure exactly of what I believe at the moment. I'm in Galway

Not to spark a debate or anything but I really don't think Catholic services are for me fyi.

Going along to a sunday service would be a good idea. Why don't you try googling churches in your area. Probably a few evangelical churches in Galway I'd imagine. See if you can find a good church where you can hear the word of God being preached, and don't worry about being unsure, everyone was at one point. Good luck!:)

I would recommend calling into An Tobar Nua on Domonic Street and asking them. They cater for all christian faiths are neither anti-Catholic or anti-protestant plus have a good collection of books, event lists and are easy to talk to.

There's a list of non-Catholic churches in Galway here: http://www.galwaytransport.info/2010/07/non-catholic-churches-and-houses-of.html

Some of the more mobile ones may have moved, but I think it's mostly correct.

    Lots of bases are covered.
