Cut in working days

My gut feeling is that in the absence of a statement of minimum hours in your contract your working hours may vary at the discretion of your employer and therefore you are not entitled to any notice period. I'd further suggest that you are not experiencing a short-time situation as detailed in the Citizens Information link you posted as you have not had a cut to your contractual hours.

You may be entitled to Jobseeker's Allowance as dependent on means testing one is normally allowed work for up to three days and claim JSA for the remaining days.

Someone better qualified than I may be able to argue that your habitual working hours are the norm regardless of what your contract does not state. If there is a Citizens Information office in your locality I suggest you visit with a copy of your contract and seek advice from them.

    Best of luck.
