Just done a rescan UTV Ireland on 6,
RTE 1 plus 1 on both 8 and 11, RTE News Now 21,
    Saorview Infromation Channel 23
I wonder if one of the RTE plus 1's is for the Oireachtas Channel

I think they will eventually drop RTE 1+1 on 8 and make the block of ten starting at 11 for the +1 channels. So if there is ever to be an RTE 2+1 it would be at 12, TV3+1 at 13 and so on.

I also think the block of ten starting at 21 is for news and information channels. At the moment we have RTE News Now on 21 and the Saorview Information channel on 23, so maybe 22 is for Oireachtas TV.

    Makes sense.

I just hope we have a better selection of channels rather than a plethora of +1's

It's somewhat disappointing that it won't be HD.

I wouldn't hold my breath to it being HD in the near future, or they'd have just went HD from the outset.
