Aviva North Stand Tickets...Nooooo!

    Hi folks.
I've bought 2 north stand tickets (yesterday) for the french game in February.
I did so very hastily thinking that all tickets would sell out fast.
I didn't intend to buy in the north end of course; I selected 'category 2' tickets assuming that while I knew I wouldn't be on the halfway line, I wouldn't be at ground level behind one of the goals either.
Turns out the latter is almost exactly where I am.

So as I've never bought via the supporters club before now, I'm unsure about the options that are left open to me.
I do want to go to the game, but am not willing to accept that I've paid €85 for a ****e view of it.
I could try and find a buyer for them at face value, but would rather receive a refund for them(minus the €8/€9 booking fee of course) and possibly someone out there might be glad to pay that price for these seats.
However I'm aware of the small print that says 'no refunds once purchase is confirmed'.

So I'm open to all and any advice or anecdotes. Should I email this 'Barry' bloke who seems to run the supporters club?
Should I take no action and swallow this bitter pill? Shut my mouth until kick off on the day and leave all my frustration out during the 80 minutes from my naughty chair?!

I'd say post on the supporter's club forum. It seemed like there were a few people who didn't manage to get any yesterday who would be more than happy to buy them off you.

I've bought several tickets off the Supporters Club, and almost without exception they were behind the goals - and I certainly didn't select the cheapest options.

I'd just be happy to get tickets.

These tickets have been returned by clubs. So would assume they are the only ones availble.

Just have to slog it out with us common folk mate.

    Really? Didn't know that.
Yeah I'm not oblivious to how I might be coming across...'I'm not sitting with the riff-raff behind the goal. Don't they know who I am?!' type of thing.
Not how I mean to sound so apologies if I do.

Will check the supporters forum ta.

Hang onto them for now. You will easily shift them closer to the day, either as a straight swap for alternative seats or else to somebody who needs tickets of their own.

That Barry C fella on the supporters forum seems very helpful. See what he says.

I've been behind the goal line (South) many times for Leinster games.....and find it grand.

    I'm some thicko alright...
I only just read how one of ye got 4 tickets to the french game.
Thought i had blown my chance by buying my 2. (Were we not only allowed to buy 2 or was that rule only true for Wednesday?)
either way I definitely missed something...so logged back in just now and got 2 Cat 1s (505-511).
    Chuffed I am now!
I'll try to get face value back for the north end pair I bought first of all, but no rush with that.
Jaysus lads I'm 2 stone lighter with that sorted!

Thanks for all the posts...collectively ye sorted me!
