    longevity......

a veneered unit door will not last anywhere near as long as painted solid wood.

for economy kitchens, they would certainly be good value, say you were renting a house etc.

On the other hand I know of many people who get "tired" of their kitchen. If you buy lower cost veneers you can give the place a facelift by changing the doors only overy 4/5 years.

This is the tosh in todays market and snobbery in Kitchens....

The Kitchen suppliers bank balance survives on snobbery!

Who wants the same kitchen for 40 years!!!!

How did you get on with the kitchen?
Did you go with -snip- in the end?

I'm looking at a few companies at the minute, waiting to see what they come up with and the price.
Only looking for a small apartment kitchen.

Most people change their kitchens after about 15 years. I think its mad to sink big money into what are just 'presses' after all, not fine pieces of furniture.
I bought a small pallet of ash and copied mine out of a magazine.
