    Hi

I want to buy a gps distance watch for my dad for Christmas. I don't know anything about them. Do they work on all Irish courses? It would preferably have to be easy to use, nothing fancy. What would you suggest?

    Thanks
    C

Garmin S1 is a good bet. Plus good value

Garmin S1 is the cheapest as it was the first watch released, it is also the best as it is reliably accurate in Ireland and the more expensive models just added functionality that is seldom used and makes the watches trickey. Garmon S1 is all you will ever need and I keep coming back to it.
