A friend decied on this media player recently .... he has not received it yet so no personal experience of how well it works ....

Specs look good for the price .....

In my personal opinion these boxes are rubbish.

Got a similar one last Christmas and apart from the first few months I doubt its even been switched on much.

Its ok for TV shows and movies providing you have a good internet connection, but the Free TV option is pretty poor quality and if you want decent TV streams then you have to subscribe to various providers but that's illegal and cant be discussed!

If I didn't have the ability to source material and keep it on my HD from elsewhere then it would be ok for TV and Movies, but overall I dont rate these boxes.

For HD Quality you would need at least 6-7 mps, 2-3 for SD. And thats providing nobody else is using the internet!

We're in a grey area here because while these boxes have legitimate uses, they're often used for piracy.

However regardless of this, they're not satellite based and so are off-topic for this forum anyway
