Cut-off point for acceptance into psychology conversion course

So I'm a third year arts student doing Psychological Studies and German, currently on Erasmus in Germany.

Like many others, I'm hoping to get into the conversion course after I graduate, but I've no idea what I should be aiming for. Obviously I'm looking to get as high a grade as possible, but could anybody shed some light on the approximate cut-off point for acceptance into the conversion course?

My overall average in 2nd year was 63%, 65% for psych studies. I know that places are offered based on final year summer exams so that isn't really relevant, but does anybody know how much I'd need to improve next year to be in with a chance? Ultimately I want to go on to do a masters in Social Work rather than pursue psychology, but I'm quite sure a bachelors degree in psych studies is useless without the Higher Diploma.

Thanks to those who respond, sorry if this question has been asked before!

Email the course coordinator or the secretary for whatever department psychology is in. They should be able to tell you.

Criteria to get into a postgrad changes dependent on the applicants. Someone with a 2.1 might get in one year, whereas next year, only a high 1.1 will suffice, especially if there's more applicants. There might a lower threshold but the course coordinator should tell you that.

The cut off for the conversion when I was in 3rd arts was 69% I think! That was 2 years ago. There are other options though- I just completed the masters in psychology in UL, which also acts as a conversion! As the previous poster said you could email someone in the department. Anne Marie Keane was over the conversion when I was there, drop her a mail, she'll have no problem giving you more info. Hope that helps!
