HI, looking for some advice on the legal process of claiming after a car crash.

My friend was driving, I was the passenger. We were slowing down coming up to traffic lights on a road coming into a city when the woman behind hit us in the rear. Luckily my friend applied the brakes quickly and didn't hit the car in front. The car is a write off, bad back axel and wheel damage. Guards were rang, photos taken, details exchanged etc. We went straight to the doctor after guards sorted everything out and the car was towed away.

We are both now in pain. The general shoulder/neck pain that the doctor warned us about but also her arm and shoulder is sore from having her hand on the steering wheel. For some reason my tailbone is very sore. I can't sit down properly and getting up is awful, I look like my granny having to move so slowly and the pain is always there.

I just was looking for advice on what to do from here on in?

Speak to a solicitor. To be honest OP I would have thought that was pretty obvious.

There is a process whereby you can forgo the solicitor but frankly I'd be dubious about you going through that process, that's not meant to be offensive I'm sure you're very good at what you do but the legal process appears to be a bit of a mystery - which is something to be thankful for!

    Speak to a solicitor.

Since that is the only thing that can be said within the confines of the site rules and forum charter, I'm closing this thread.
