So I was visiting all the shops lately trying out new irons
Bad service in AG from the manager
Good service in Halpenny from the new manager there
Great service in Nevada Bobs from Paul and up at the Ballincollig driving range where they have their fitting kits

Nevada Bobs are soooooooo over priced though. Everything is double the price online and there's no haggling with them either. They are dearer for everything I looked at compared to AG and Halpenny.

Paul Coleman is one of the soundest guys you'll meet. He welcomes haggling too!
Has good deals on ping clubs.

Looks to be only a temporary store over the Xmas period, but what a good place for a golf shop, ive regularly been on Patrick street and its always buzzing!
Good luck to him, it seems hes very well liked. I've only had experience in AG in Cork and was pretty poor, the manager didn't give me any desire to return.

I travel between Cork and Dublin for work so might give a look into Coleman this week and halpenny.

    Is this ok?

Is targeting individuals locally now fair game?

Should you (elgenerale) not try the classic forms of feedback ie in store discussion/escalation or American Golf's website before you go down the keyboard warrior route.

I cringed a little(/a lot) when I read this to be honest

Maybe you're right but I tried to state it as plainly as possible without getting personal.
If a majority of posters here feel its wrong then i'll delete my post.

How many Mangers does American Golf in Cork have?

Unfortunately you're posting in a thread where the modding is wildly inconsistent at best so this is let go.

You can't discuss the McIlroy case like most normal media but posting a sexist picture of a women ironing or targeting a specific individual in a local golf store is ok:rolleyes:

But sure look we have a charter to deal with troublemakers like me so all is ok.

Pretty accurate post in my view and i've used all shops listed on numerous occasions.

AG just give an attitude of being know alls and talk down to you

Halpenny by far the best in my experiences and give advice without being over forceful. The AG staff are a bit too pushy

    Nobody mentioned any specific individual?

Most stores have more than 1 manager, so whos to say my experience of a store manager is the same as someone else's?

AG staff are very robotic and tend to assume you are thick and they are the industry experts in all areas.

Yes they might be knowledgeable but their delivery of this is pretty poor imo.

My last experience was being fitted for a driver, during the fitting i mentioned another retailer id been to for a fitting and was informed of their retail background, personal stuff, of which i had no interest. I just found it pushy, over the top and a big arrogant.

lol - If you're looking to the internet to set your own moral compass then you're in big trouble pal.

How should the majority contact you? Can you post your name address / Job title?

Yeah I'm the one with issues.

Give us your company name, location and job title? How does that sound - that's ok right?

You sum up everything that's wrong with the modern world pal.

Comming up to Christmas and here ye are bickering like biotches and trying to get people fired !! Has nobody thought of the children !

I hope no managers have been fired cause of this thread.

Domo is taking a week off.
I suggest everyone else acts like adults to avoid a similar fate.

Wouldn't you be better off to deal with your club pro. I know ours will nearly always price match the big stores plus you'll always get good service and swing advice thrown in.
