    Hi.

It's been a while since I travelled with Aer Lingus.

I have just checked in for a flight on Thursday online.

Had to pay for a seat as they have a 30 hour limit on free seats.

They have issued me with a boarding card, but I didn't have to enter my passport details.

Is this correct, or am I going to have trouble at the airport?

    Thanks.

Passport is checked at boarding (and/or checking-in a bag) - The onus is on the traveller to provide up to date travel documentation. The new app set to launch in 2015, will change this.

You don't need to supply passport details in advance of travel except to the US or Spain.

If you're flying domestic or to the UK you won't even need a passport in the first place.

edit: seems Canada and Portugal now have the advance rules too
