Insuring a car short term

My insurance is up later in the week and Im currently trying to sell the car. I wouldnt bother insuring it and would wait to sell it but its a high performance car worth about 10k, so I think its better to be safe than sorry and insure the car until I sell it. This might be a matter of days or it might be until after Xmas.

Does anyone know which insurer would be the least hassle when it comes to cancelling? 123.ie have the smallest quote so it looks like Ill lose the least with them. Will i get the pro rata amount back minus an admin fee? Does anyone have any advice? Was really hoping to have it gone before the insurance ran out!
