Me and my girlfriend both want something different form the usual canary island, were first time travelers and just looking on peoples opinion of traveling Europe or Thailand? For about 3 to 4 weeks.

The idea of sun an beaches an scenery in thailand just about pips it for us atm

Or maybe theres other places better to go see an travel in thailand bar the touristy bankok?

Maybe go online a look at some travel blogs of Thailand, there are hundreds. There are also hundreds of things to do while there and your money goes a lot further.

The south coast of Thailand is where you going to find the sun, sea and party scene. Koh Phanghan has the infamous full moon parties, Koh Tao is a diving mecca and Koh Phi phi is isolated party island. Thailand also has a monsoon season

In the north, it is more Jungle. The place is littered with Temples and nature parks and trekking activities. You can easily get by on €20 a day on a tight budget if needs be. Getting around by flying internally, buses or ferries is cheap and frequent.

Europe is a fairly broad alternative. I'm not sure what your budget is or what countries you want to see. Maybe get an idea of what you want to see and do and then ask again.

Thanks for that, we are both students so which ever gets us more for our buck will certainly be an advantage

Thailand is cheap ,but then can be quite expensive to get there ,in the first place .Staying 3 or 4 weeks though should swing it in Thailands favour cost wise.Bangkok is good for around 3 days and can then get oppressive .The Islands are easy to get to from Bangkok .Chiang Mai where i live is another place worth seeing .

Island hopping is an amazing trip, 3 weeks visiting a few of them over the course of it would top Europe anytime in my opinion.

Do Europe when you're old and in a wheelchair. Do Thailand while you're young, energetic and mobile! :)

I'm about to go so can't go into too much detail but put it this way... we're about to head off for our 2nd trip to Thailand (we're a mid 20's couple)... says it all really
