    hi guys,

    submitted my masters (through research) thesis in September of this year and I have yet to hear back from anyone about it. does anyone know how long the examination usually takes?

    It varies wildly depending on how fast your examiners work, though they aim for within 2 months. That said, I submitted mine the same time as you, only heard back a little over a week ago, though 2 guys I know who submitted at the same time had heard within 2 months.

    Best bet is to contact the intern, Examination Chair (May have been your panel chair, or could be the intern) or your supervisor, depending on who you know. The university would have started lighting fires under them, though, so you shouldn't be waiting much longer.
