A bit like the cars they make. 'German efficiency' is a misnomer

To be fair to them they probably organised to all strike the same time and get it done with before getting back on schedule for the busy xmas !! :P lol

Arguing about retiring early and still getting 60% pay for a decade. Compare that to aer lingus pension scheme!

Is it only a one day strike? I have two Lufthansa flights on Wednesday.

Cheers. Only problem is that my flight on Wednesday morning normally arrives tomorrow night and leaves first thing on Wednesday. Probably will be delayed now. Frankfurt will probably be chaos on Wednesday too.

No you're fine. It's here already, been parked over on the west apron since lunchtime today when it came in. It'll be dragged over later tomorrow night for the LH983 on wed morning.

You can expect an on time departure...your A321 is parked up in Dublin.

Yup. Aren't EI staff taking a 20% reduction in pension entitlements under the proposal?

Read elsewhere that if the current plan does not happen the current workers will get 15%

Is that 15% of a reduction or 85%?

My understanding was that if the current plan is not passed the pension fund will be closed and existing pensioners will the preferential treatment (due to the way the law is set up) and current workers paying into the fund will get 5-15% of what they expected.

With a potential waterford crystal II (compulsory contributions from workers mean state are liable in some form or another) on the cards
