Hello, the girlfriend is after making the app icons appear massive on her phone. I don't have the phone in front of me and can't really find anything on google, so i'm wondering if there is anyway to change them back to normal size? She can't remember how she did it either!
    Thanks.

It's just the update to Android 4.4.4. It did that to Xperia Z2s as well. No change back without some rooting knowledge. Just have to wait it out until Android 5 lolipop is out which I'm about 60% sure the Z1 will get next year.

    This too shall pass.

If you install Nova Launcher, an app that allows you to completely customise the look and feel of your Androids home screens, one of the options allows you to change the size of the icons. A lot Nova users use it to go all out and completely overhaul the look of the device, but I'm sure that your girlfriend could use it simply to tweak the icons and still leave the rest as it was, in fact, there's an option to keep it looking the same as the original Sony Launcher. You will have to set Nova as the default Launcher but there'll be on screen prompts to do that so nothing complicated.
