if it an adsl modem then yes provided the wan settings are not locked down

    use the following WAN settings

    encapsulation: pppoe

    PPP username: eircom@eircom.net
    PPP Password: broadband1

    VCI: 8
    VPI: 35

    MTU: 1492

    DNS:

    Primary: 159.134.0.1
    Secondary: 159.134.0.2

    always on connection

if it is their cable modem then no you will need to buy a new modem
