    Hi I passed my theory test back in 2010 it has expired. Do I need to do the theory test again?

    Yes unfortunately. Plus the rules have changed since then with regards to aquiring a bike licence. It's based in age/experience now on order to get a full A.

    I had a provisional license which expired as I never did anything with it. When I applied for a new one, I didn't need to take the theory test again.

    LP's can be expired up to five years whilst Theory Certs are only valid up to 2.

    Ah it was a Theory Cert and not a permit? My mistake.

    When I applied for my C+E permit I had to resit my theory test (category C). I was told theory test certificates are valid for FIVE years.

    Tiredness is getting to me!
    What I should have posted is that if a learner permit has expired over FIVE years you need to re-sit your Theory Test.
