Paying Through Paypal - No Account

Hi, I recently seen somebody selling items and they were saying that you pay through paypal, which is fine, I do that all the time. But they went on to tell somebody that you don't need an actual paypal account yourself to do this.....Does anybody know anything about this or how its done, as I sell items and this would be super esp if the person didn't actually need to sign up for an account etc??

Paypal has had a concept of 'pay as guest' where you can use a credit card without signing up for an account. There are some restrictions, as they would prefer people to sign up. However, they seem to be trying to get rid of it, at least in some of their markets. I've seen a lot of people complaining on various sites that they used to be able to do it but it doesn't work any more.

Ok thanks, I never knew this, I must have a look on the paypal site, is that where I would see this do you think?

It works like this :

When you buy on say eBay ,click on ''pay '' , you will then be transferred to the PP login page .

So instead of logging in , you will see an option on the left-hand side to pay with card ( without logging in )


Might just need to be a bit wary of sellers that ask you to use this option , as they may possibly be looking for a way of not offering you full protection )
