    Hi,

I am looking to buy my stock of indian spices. Is there any cheap asian shop in Dublin city center? Town where I live is selling indian spices at double or triple prices :(

I will be going for a day trip to Dublin soon.

Can anyone recommend a good cheap Indian/Asian grocery store in Dublin City Centre? Or on outskirts of Dublin, as I will be heading back towards Clonmel area.

    Thanks!

There's one on the left just past Leonard's Corner (Clanbrassil Street).
I go there for all my spices, i.e coriander seeds, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, etc.
They have hundreds of spices to choose from and they come in large packs at low prices.
They also sell a variety of fresh chillies, ginger, garlic, onions, herbs, meat, tinned goods, etc.

This is better suited to the Dublin City forum OP.

Have a look around Moore Street, I can't remember the name off the top of my head but there's a pretty large market just beside Lidl that I use a lot. One beside the Parnell Street door to the Ilac and another on Mary Street just beside the Desi Madina restaurant

They are more Chinese through. There is an Indian supermarket on Mary Street, off Capel St. Prices are pretty good

The Aisa Market on Drury street ( as linked in an earlier post) is the one you want.

It's by far the best and cheapest in town. It first appears to be just chinese but has a great range of ingredients for other cuisines.

The second one I linked to, asianfood.ie, the Asian Food Empornium is on Mary Street and is more Middle Eastern / Indian than Chinese. They also have a pretty decent butchers at the back.
