    Hi,

I am thinking of getting my boyfriend a one to one lesson with a gold professional for christmas. He plays off scratch as it is but I know he gets frustrated with some aspects of his game so am thinking thinking a lesson like this might help him solve these. I was looking at the golf pros in Carton House and just wanted to see if anyone could recommend these lessons/a pro in particular?
    Thanks in advance.

I had an hour lesson with Kenny a couple of years ago and didn't find him that great, came away from the lesson without any real goal or specific area to work on and didn't find him to be technical enough for my liking. That said I'm no where near the level of a scratch golfer.
I've had a lesson with Bernard Quigley also that same year and found him to be a better fit.

I would suggest that if he is a scratch golfer he is going to have a good idea of what he needs to work on and will need a coach that suits him. ie. Peltz for short game etc... Hes going to need a coach specific to his needs, not the basics which every pro can cover. I would try and find out more info or who he would like to use. Just wouldn't want you getting him the present and he not getting anything out of it.
