Issues buying CV joint

    Hi everyone,

I'm looking to get a replacement CV joint on MicksGarage for my 1999 Toyota Yaris 1.0.

It seems like they only have CV joints with the ABS rings on them however my car doesn't have ABS. Is it okay to use CV joints with ABS rings on non-ABS cars?

They also have variations with internal grooves and some without any internal grooves... how do I know which one I need?

    Thanks in advance.

You're better off getting the exact part that you need. Go to a parts shop with the chassis number and they can give you the part number. Even with the reg sites like micksgarage can be off.

Motor factors wanted €80 for a CV joint and they said I can use CV joints with the ABS ring even if my car doesn't have ABS.

I got a CV joint on MicksGarage for €51, just made sure it has the same number of teeth as the OEM part. We'll see how it goes...

Usually the reluctor wheel is only pressed on, if it fouls the hub you can usually knock them off with a hammer and punch.

The three things to check are inner teeth, outer teeth and finally if the shaft lenght is equal.

The final one is where i got caught out before!
