Most toys are defacto gender neutral: bikes, scooters, computer games, non-computer games, Lego and so on.

If you're looking for a gift for a mixed gender family art stuff (paints, pencils, crayons etc) are always a good bet. I find that most toys are reappropriated for the purpose of whatever imaginary game the kids are playing anyway.

Pfft. But if you only sell 'em in pink or blue, you can force parents to buy two! Can't be putting your little prince on a pink scooter.

Lisa, if the Bible has taught us nothing else -- and it hasn't -- it's that girls should stick to girl's sports, such as hot oil wrestling and foxy boxing and such and such.

    Gender Neutral Toys

I do not know what a gender SPECIFIC toy even is.

Though it is quite funny if it comes up in conversation. You find someone who thinks they are really far down the "Equality of the sexes" route and they are all into buying gender neutral toys and the like.

Then you ask them what they think "Gender Specific Toys" might be and then ask them to explain why they think their examples fit. And suddenly they realize they might not be as gender equality as they thought they were.

Why after all is a Baby Doll - the answer most people give me first - a girl specific toy? The people who jump to that as an example are then rendered speechless when I ask them to explain their choice.

    All good fun.
